The SkyBox Hybrid Series is a state-of-the-art Energy Storage System designed for both On and Off Grid applications. It features Deye Equipped technology and comes housed in a custom weatherproof enclosure with a 10 Year Warranty for added peace of mind. With CEC approved components, it is also eligible for Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) rebates, making it a cost-effective and reliable choice for your energy storage needs.

Acting as a central ‘brain,’ the SkyBox manages incoming power from your solar, wind, or hydro generators. Balancing these power sources and storing excess energy in the internal batteries, SkyBox creates a reliable off-grid electricity supply. Since any electrician can install it, you can save thousands compared to installing an off grid solar system, through an off grid installer or provider. 

The SkyBox is designed for both indoor and outdoor use and provides enormous upgradeable battery capacity in one cabinet. Because of this, you can enjoy all the luxury of being on the grid while being off the grid! When you want to expand, simply add more batteries to suit your storage requirements. The SkyBox Hybrid Series is available in 2 different models:

- SkyBox 5kVA Pre-Wired Hybrid Cabinet (Deye SUN-5K-SG04LP1-AU) (5kVA Inverter output with up to 7.5kW Solar & up to 28.8kWh Pylontech or 30.72kWh BSL Battery Storage sold separately)

- SkyBox 8kVA Pre-Wired Hybrid Cabinet (Deye SUN-8K-SG05LP1-AU) (8kVA Inverter output with up to 12kW Solar & up to 28.8kWh Pylontech or 30.72kWh BSL Battery Storage sold separately)


The SkyBox Hybrid Series offers a comprehensive solution for solar energy storage and backup power. The in-built Equipped Deye Hybrid Inverter provides seamless integration of solar power, battery charging, and grid failure support. With a capacity of 5 or 8kW, this system is designed to meet the power needs of a variety of applications. Includes pre-wired connections for Pylontech US5000-B batteries, internal busbars and circuit protection ensure a streamlined and reliable installation process. Whether for residential or commercial use, the SkyBox Hybrid Series delivers robust performance and peace of mind.



Note: This unit requires installation by a licensed Electrician & houses up to 6x Pylontech US5000-B or BSL B-LFP48-100E rack mount lithium batteries. (Batteries are sold separately and not included)

Since developing the SkyBox, our focus has always been to make the installer's life as easy as possible to install the SkyBox. With this in mind, we continue to make updates to the SkyBox, which we have detailed below:

- CEC approved components for On or Off Grid Use, eligible for STC rebates.

- Addition of an external switchboard. This makes it easier to wire AC connections, including AC out and AC in (generator input). There is no longer a need for cabinet penetrations.

- Manual changeover switch added. If the inverter fails, it can be bypassed to operate off the generator until a technician arrives to fix it.

- DC isolators have been added to the side of the box. These were previously supplied separately in the electrical kit for the installer to assemble.

- Generator Auto start contacts added to the external switchboard. This allows for easier access and wiring.

- Remote monitoring Via Wifi included as standard which gives Sky Energy the ability to log in and troubleshoot as required.

- Fans have been upgraded on all models for better cooling of the components.

- All SkyBox cabinets have a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) before being shipped to site. 




Solar Compatible- The SkyBox can be used in off-grid as well as other alternative energy systems. It is compatible with both solar charger controllers and new or existing grid-tie inverters.


No Break Supply- The SkyBox takes over the supply to the connected loads in a grid failure or when generator power is disconnected. This happens so fast (less than 10 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption.


Maximum Power- Up to 16 Hybrid SkyBoxes can operate in parallel to achieve a higher power output. 16 units, for example, will provide 128 kW output power with 3040 Amps battery charging/discharging capacity (Based on 8kW model).


SkyCare Monitoring- Our free remote monitoring app will display all your system data in a comprehensive graphical format. System settings can be changed remotely via the portal. Alarms can be received by e-mail.


Off-Site Monitoring- When connected to the internet, SkyBox can be accessed remotely if connected to Wifi and settings can be changed.

Independence from the Grid- The SkyBox replaces grid connection supply and provides total independence from the grid.


10-Year Replacement Warranty- The SkyBox comes with a massive 10-year warranty which is covered by the SkyCare program.


Plug and Play Installation for Electricians- Because it is Pre-Wired and Pre-Programmed, the great thing about the SkyBox is that your local sparky can install it, and they don’t require an off-grid licence to do so.


No Assembly Required- The SkyBox comes pre-wired and pre-programmed for easy installation.
