Updates to the SkyBox Off-Grid Cabinets:

The SkyBox represents a game-changer in terms of time-saving for installers while maintaining a sleek and organized appearance. The 8kVA & 10kVA variants have been revamped to accommodate up to 8x Pylontech US5000-B batteries and the addition of the new external AC Switchboard. These improvements not only contribute to a more efficient and professional installation process, but also allow for expandability by adding more batteries as needed.

Since developing the SkyBox, our focus has always been to make the installer’s life as easy as possible to install the SkyBox. With this in mind, we continue to make updates to the SkyBox, which we have detailed below:

𝟏. Addition of an external switchboard. This makes it easier to wire AC connections, including AC out and AC in (generator input). There is no longer a need for cabinet penetrations.

𝟐. Manual changeover switch added. If the inverter fails, it can be bypassed to operate off the generator until a technician arrives to fix it.

𝟑. DC isolators have been added to the side of the box. These were previously supplied separately in the electrical kit for the installer to assemble.

𝟒. Generator Auto start contacts added to the external switchboard. This allows for easier access and wiring.

𝟓. AERL Earth Protection is standard to the 3kVA and 5kVA and via RS450/100’s in the 8kVA and the 10kVA.

𝟔. 4G LTE module and puck added as standard to the 8kVA and 10kVA and optional for the 3kVA and 5kVA. The addition of the modules gives Sky Energy the ability to log in and troubleshoot as required.

𝟕. An internal rejig of components has enabled the 3kVA + 5kVA to house 4x Pylontech US5000-B batteries offering up to 19.2kWh of battery storage. The 8kVA + 10kVA cabinets can now house 8x Pylontech US5000-B batteries offering up to 38.4kWh of battery storage.

𝟖. Fans have been upgraded on all models for better cooling of the components.

𝟗. All SkyBox cabinets have a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) before being shipped to site.

The SkyBox Mini 3kVA includes an in-built Victron EasySolar-II 48/3000 GX 3kVA Inverter, Victron 250/70 MPPT Solar charger with an output of up to 4kW Solar, AERL EarthGuard, Pre-Wired AC External Switchboard, Pre-Wired external Solar input, Pre-Wired connections for Pylontech US5000-B batteries, Internal Busbars & Circuit Protection.
Houses 1-4 Pylontech US5000-B rack mount lithium batteries (up to 19.2kWh Battery Storage, sold separately).

SkyBox Mini 5kVA:
The SkyBox Mini 5kVA includes an in-built Victron EasySolar-II 48/5000 GX 5kVA Inverter, Victron 250/100 MPPT Solar charger with an output up to 5.8kW Solar, AERL EarthGuard, Pre-Wired AC External Switchboard, Pre-Wired external Solar input, Pre-Wired connections for Pylontech US5000-B batteries, Internal Busbars & Circuit Protection.
