Victron BlueSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr VE.Can - SCC125070441
Victron BlueSolar 250/70-Tr VE.Can:
A solar charger gathers energy from your solar panels, and stores it in your batteries. Using the latest, fastest technology, BlueSolar maximises this energy-harvest, driving it intelligently to achieve full charge in the shortest possible time. BlueSolar maintains battery health, extending its life.
NOTE: "BlueSolar" units do NOT have Bluetooth built in which means you will need to purchase a separate VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart Dongle to make changes to the controller, such as changing to Lithium and to update the firmware prior. See "SmartSolar" units if Bluetooth is required.
Features:
MPPT: Ultra Fast Maximum Power Point Tracking- Especially in case of a clouded sky, when light intensity is changing continuously, an ultra-fast MPPT controller will improve energy harvest by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers. By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar (PV) panels, MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available power is rinsed out of your panels, and harvested for storage. The advantage of this is most noticeable when the sky is partially clouded, and light intensity is constantly changing.
Remote Monitoring and Control- Remotely control and monitor the extensive features of your BlueSolar MPPT charger by attaching a Bluetooth dongle and pairing it with your smartphone or other device via Victron Connect. If your installation is connected to the internet with a GX device, the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM) provides access to the full power of your MPPT, anytime, anywhere; both Victron Connect and VRM are free to use. For remote installations - even when there is no internet connection nearby - you may be able to monitor your MPPT by connecting the GlobalLink 520.
Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection in case of partial shading conditions- If partial shading occurs, two or more maximum power points may be present on the power-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to lock to a local MPP, which may not be the optimum MPP. The innovative BlueSolar algorithm will always maximize energy harvest by locking to the optimum MPP.
Outstanding conversion efficiency- No cooling fan. Maximum efficiency exceeds 98%. The full output current up to 40°C (104°F).
Flexible charge algorithm- Fully programmable charge algorithm (see the software page on our website), and eight pre-programmed algorithms, selectable with a rotary switch (see manual for details).
Extensive electronic protection- Over-temperature protection and power derating when temperature is high. PV short circuit and PV reverse polarity protection. PV reverse current protection.
Internal temperature sensor- Compensates absorption and float charge voltage for temperature.
Internal temperature sensor and optional external battery voltage, temperature and current sensing via Bluetooth- A Smart Battery Sense or a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor can be used to communicate battery voltage and temperature (and current, in case of a BMV-712 or a SmartShunt) to one or more BlueSolar Charge Controllers. (VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle needed)
VE.Can: the multiple controller solution- Up to 25 units can be synchronised with VE.Can.
VE.Direct or VE.Can- For a wired data connection to a Color Control GX, other GX products, PC or other devices.
Remote on-off- To connect for example to a VE.BUS BMS.
Programmable relay- Can be programmed to trip on an alarm, or other events.
Optional: SmartSolar pluggable LCD display- Simply remove the rubber seal that protects the plug on the front of the controller, and plug-in the display.

What is a warranty? A warranty is a voluntary promise offered by the person or business who sold the product or service to you. Once you buy the product or service, the promise becomes a right that can be enforced under the ACL. Warranties are separate from your automatic consumer guarantees. The consumer guarantees which apply regardless of any warranties suppliers sell or give to you, apply for a reasonable time depending on the nature of the goods or services. This means consumer guarantees may continue to apply after the time period for the warranty has expired.
